I am a pastor’s wife, mom to three, minister, and Baylor Bear. My husband, Kyle and I serve on staff at a church plant in Melissa, TX. We have three beautiful daughters, Hope, Zoey & Remy. Though my calling is ministry, I enjoy baking, all things Disney, singing, useless trivia, dancing with my girls, and binge watching the Office. I have worked with children for over 20 years in ministry based settings, serving as a weekday preschool director & a kids minister. The summer of my 14th birthday, I was called to vocational ministry and then licensed to ministry in 2008. I have a BA in Religion from Baylor University (Sic ‘em!) and a MA in Christian Education: Childhood Ministry from Dallas Baptist University. I’m passionate about telling kids about Jesus and having fun doing it!
Why KidMin Mama?
Growing up in a church plant and currently serving in a church plant has made me realize a major problem: where are the budget friendly resources for children’s ministry? It’s slim pickings! At the same time, I’ve also served in larger churches and been told “there is no money in the budget right now”. What do you do? Google searches come back fruitless, even Pinterest seems to repeat the same dated resources. Thus I had the idea for KidMin Mama, free and cheap resources that are easily reproduced, flexible, and fun! The Lord placed this desire in my heart to help others share the good news of Jesus to children. Look around, subscribe to the site and pin away!
“You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens are above the earth” Deuteronomy 11:18-21
