February Verse Cards
It’s our second month of verse cards! In my Valentine Verse Cards post last week, I mentioned February is all about love. All the verses this month center on love: the love of God and love for others.
I ranged the complexity of the verses for various age groups. I’ll always offer a short verse for my little friends and then a longer verse for my older elementary crew. I also tried to find the best, age-appropriate translations. Here are the verses this month:
- “A friend loves at all times.” Proverbs 17:17 (CSB)
- “Dear friends, if God loved us in this way, we also must love one another.” 1 John 4:11(CSB)
- “But Christ died for us while we were still sinners. In this way God shows his great love for us.” Romans 5:8 (ICB)
- “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 16:34 (CSB)
You can print these out and put them on the bathroom mirror, in your child’s lunch box or on the fridge. For older children, read the verse in context and discuss application in their own life. For younger kids, talk about what that verse means and what it tells us about God. These could also be great cards to throw in Valentine goodie bags!
Check back each month for verse cards and let me know how you’re using the verse cards with your own children or your children’s ministry.
